Beatnik Babe

This is the beatnik babe sweater from the book Ohio Knitting Mills. I used Manos del Uruguay in calypso, citron and some kind of grey. The book called for 4 skeins of the main colors but I only used three. The facings are a pink worsted weight. I added a lot of bust shaping using short rows for a close fit. I lowered the neckline a little as well. Over all I love the way it turned out!

  2. Great job on this!! My knitting "skills" are still pretty much limited to scarves, hats and dishcloths..really want to improve to be able to knit socks and sweaters...How long did it take you to knit this sweater?

  3. Karen- I've been knitting this since December, but I get distracted easily. I could have done it in a month, or even faster. And If you can knit a hat then you can knit a sweater!
